![]() Being over aggresive on the road is not a good thing. I have chicken strips about 1/2" wide and while in the right conditions I 'go for it' on the road I do not think you need to get your knee down. If you buy a S1k and want to put it in your living room then go for it but you're only getting a fraction of the enjoyment the bike can provide. It's YOUR bike so you can do with it whatever you want. I'm not suggesting that all you fair-weather riders are wrong and those who ride every day are a special breed. I've never had my knee down, I've only ever ridden 2 tracks, (Donington & Mallory), I have no intention of fitting race Ohlins, Akra race system or BSTs to the bike because I know it won't make any difference to the way I use the bike. I ride my S1k every day, hail, rain or shine and I love it. ![]() Most people here don't race.most people here mod their bikes.so to me it seems like a lot of people here are "posers" whether they care to admit it or not. Putting mods on a bike is fun and it is entertaining to me to feel the satisfaction of working on my own bike to improve it's looks and performance. Also, I tend to get as much satisfaction working on my bike as I do riding my bike. Why take chances with traffic, gravel, potholes, blind corners, etc? Live to ride another day and enjoy. You know what I have yet to crash my bike once which is all that matters to me. The way I see it if you are dragging knee of the street you probably aren't riding very safely. I mod my bike even though I don't use all of the mods. I guess by what you all say I must be a poser too. Poser.well this is kind of a dumb term IMO. Although I am sure all of you have had you squidly moments at one time or another. Squids are dumb.I think everyone can agree on that.
